How to out smart Fear

                        INDECISION, DOUBT, and FEAR!

INDECISION is the seedling of FEAR, Remember this, as you read. Indecision
form  into DOUBT, the two blend and become FEAR, The blending process
often is slow. This is one reason why these three enemies are so dangerous.
They germinate and grow without their presence being observed

Do not be deceived by the habits of these subtle enemies. Sometimes they remain
hidden in the subconscious mind, where they are difficult to locate, and still more
difficult to eliminate.

THE SIX BASIC FEARS

the fear of POVERTY

The fear of CRITICISM } most of us are

The fear of ILL HEALTH } worries

The fear of LOSS OF LOVE OF SOMEONE

The fear of OLD AGE

The fear of DEATH

All other fears are of minor importance, they can be grouped under these six heading.

THE FEAR OF POVERTY

If you need riches, you must refuse to accept any circumstance that leads toward poverty
The starting point of the path that leads to riches is DESIRE.

if you are willing to accept poverty, you may as well
make up your mind to receive poverty. This is one decision you cannot avoid.

A state of mind is something that one assumes. It cannot be purchased, it must
be created. Fear of poverty is a state of mind, nothing else.

The Fear of Poverty is, without doubt, the most destructive of the six basic fears.
It has been placed at the head of the list, because it is the most difficult to master.

The fear of poverty grew out of man’s inherited tendency to PREY UPON HIS FELLOW MAN ECONOMICALLY.

Nothing brings man so much suffering and humility as POVERTY! Only those
who have experienced poverty understand the full meaning of this.

SYMPTOMS OF  FEAR OF POVERTY

INDIFFERENCE. Commonly expressed through lack of ambition; willingness
to tolerate poverty

INDECISION. The habit of permitting others to do one’s thinking. Staying on
the fence

DOUBT. Generally expressed through alibis and excuses designed to cover up,

WORRY. Usually expressed by finding fault with others, a tendency to spend
beyond one’s income,

OVER-CAUTION. The habit of looking for the negative side of every circumstance,
thinking and talking of possible failure instead of concentrating upon the
means of succeeding

PROCRASTINATION. The habit of putting off until tomorrow that which should
have been done last year

EXPECTING POVERTY INSTEAD OF DEMANDING RICHES. Association with
those who accept poverty instead of seeking the company of those who demand
and receive riches.

MONEY TALKS! AND BULL SHIT WALKS?

When a man is down and out and on the street, unable to get any job at all, something happens to his spirit, which can be in the droop of his shoulders, the set of his hat,his walk and his gaze. He cannot escape a feeling of inferiority among people with regular employment even though he knows they are definitely not his equals in
character,intelligence or ability.

He may borrow for a time, but not enough to carry on in his accustomed way, and he cannot continue to borrow very long.when a man is borrowing merely to live is a
depressing experience, the money lacks the power of earned to revive his spirits.

Of course, none of this applies to bums or habitual doers but only to
men of normal ambitions and self-respect.

THE FEAR OF CRITICISM

Just how man originally came by this fear, no one can state definitely, but one
thing is certain- he has it in a highly developed form.

because of the fear of criticism. Men and women have been burned at
the stake for daring to express disbelief in authority.

it is no wonder we have inherited a consciousness which makes us fear criticism.

the time was, and not so far in the past, when criticism carried severe punishments
and it still does in some countries.

The fear of criticism robs man of his initiative, destroys his power of imagination,
limits his individuality, takes away his self-reliance, and does him damage in a
hundred other ways

Parents often do their children irreparable injury by criticizing them

The mother of one of my boyhood friend used to punish him with
a switch almost daily, always completing the job with the statement, You’ll land
in the penitentiary before you are twenty.

He was sent to a Reformatory at the age of seventeen. Criticism is the one form of service, of which everyone has too much.

One’s nearest relatives often are the worst offenders. It should be recognized
as a crime  for any parent to build inferiority complexes in the mind of a child.

employers who understand human nature, get the best there is in men, not by criticism, but by constructive suggestion, parents may accomplish the same results
with their children. Criticism will plant FEAR in the human heart, or resentment,
it will not build love or affection.

This fear is almost as universal as the fear of poverty, its effects are just as
fatal to personal achievement, mainly because this fear destroys initiative, and
discourages the use of imagination.

    OLD MAN WORRY

Worry is a state of mind based upon fear. It works slowly, but persistently. It is
insiduous and subtle. Step by step it digs itself in until it paralyzes one’s reasoning
faculty, destroys self-confidence and initiative.

Worry is a form of sustained fear caused by indecision therefore it is a state of mind which can be controlled.

do not worry over conditions, once you have reached a decision to follow a definite line of action.

Kill the habit of worry, in all its forms, by reaching a general, blanket decision that
nothing which life has to offer is worth the price of worry. With this decision will
come poise, peace of mind, and calmness of thought which will bring happiness.
You may control your own mind, you have the power to feed it whatever thought
impulses you choose. With this privilege goes also the responsibility of using it
constructively. You are the master of your own earthly destiny

just as surely as you have the power to control your own thoughts. You may influence, direct, and eventually control your own environment, making your life what you need
it to be-or, you may neglect to exercise the privilege which is yours, to make your life
to order, thus casting yourself upon the broad sea of Circumstance where you
will be tossed like a chip on the waves of the ocean.

You  now know the road that leads to riches. You have been given a road
map which, if followed, will keep you on that road. If you neglect to make the
start, or stop before you arrive, no one will be to blame, but YOU. This responsibility
is yours. No alibi will save you from accepting the responsibility if you now
fail or refuse to demand riches of Life, Click the image below to join a money making PROGRAM THAT WILL TAKE YOU OUT OF POVERTY, god bless you and your family, thanks for reading this article.

How to develop a money conscious mind.

THE SUBCONSCIOUS MIND: THE CONNECTING LINK

THE SUBCONSCIOUS MIND consists of a field of consciousness, in which every
impulse of thought that reaches the objective mind through any of the five senses,
is classified and recorded,

The subconscious mind acts first on the dominating desires which have been mixed
with emotional feeling, such as faith.

THE SUBCONSCIOUS MIND WORKS DAY AND NIGHT.

You cannot entirely control your subconscious mind, but you can voluntarily
hand over to it any plan, desire, or purpose which you wish transformed into
a plan.

You are now engaged in trying to help shut out the flow of negative impulses,
and to aid in voluntarily influencing your subconscious mind, through
positive impulses of DESIRE.

When you achieve this, you will possess the key which unlocks the door to your
subconscious mind. Moreover, you will control that door so completely, that no
undesirable thought may influence your subconscious mind.

Everything which man creates, BEGINS in the form of a thought impulse. Man
can create nothing which he does not first conceive in THOUGHT. Through the
aid of the imagination,

The imagination, when under control, may be used for the creation
of plans or purposes that lead to success in one chosen occupation
The “mixing” of faith with a plan, or purpose, intended for submission
to the subconscious mind, may be done ONLY through the imagination

Thoughts are truly things, for the reason that every material thing
begins in the form of thought-energy.

THE SEVEN MAJOR POSITIVE EMOTIONS

The emotion of DESIRE

The emotion of FAITH

The emotion of LOVE

The emotion of SEX

The emotion of ENTHUSIASM

The emotion of ROMANCE

The emotion of HOPE

to help you develop a “money consciousness  mind

THE SEVEN MAJOR NEGATIVE EMOTIONS– to be avoided

The emotion of FEAR

The emotion of JEALOUSY

The emotion of HATRED

The emotion of REVENGE

The emotion of GREED

The emotion of SUPERSTITION

The emotion of ANGER

Positive and negative emotions cannot occupy the mind at the same time. One or
the other must dominate. It is your responsibility to make sure that positive emotions
constitute the dominating influence of your mind.

Form the habit of applying and using the positive emotions! Eventually, they will
dominate your mind so completely, that the negatives cannot enter it.

Only by following these instructions literally, and continuously, can you gain
control over your subconscious mind

If you are an observing person, you must have noticed that most people resort
to prayer ONLY after everything else has FAILED!

it is a fact that most people who pray, do so
ONLY AFTER EVERYTHING ELSE HAS FAILED, they go to prayer with their
minds filled with FEAR and DOUBT, which are the emotions the subconscious
mind acts upon, and passes on to Infinite Intelligence.

If you pray for a thing, but have fear as you pray, that you may not receive it, or
that your prayer will not be acted upon by Infinite Intelligence, your prayer will
have been in vain.

THE SUBCONSCIOUS MIND WORKS DAY AND NIGHT

You may VOLUNTARILY plant in your subconscious mind any plan, thought, or
purpose which you desire to translate into its physical or monetary equivalent.
The subconscious acts first on the dominating desires which have been mixed
with emotional feeling, such as faith.

You cannot entirely control your subconscious mind, but you can voluntarily
hand over to it any plan, desire, or purpose which you wish transformed into
concrete form.

this is a article which is intended to help you develop money conscious-ness
by filling your mind with positive emotions. One does not become money conscious
by filling one’s mind with negative emotions.

Positive and negative emotions cannot occupy the mind at the same time. One or
the other must dominate. It is your responsibility to make sure that positive emotions
constitute the dominating influence of your mind. Here the law of HABIT
will come to your aid.
Form the habit of applying and using the positive emotions! Eventually, they will
dominate your mind so completely, that the negatives cannot enter it.

Only by following these instructions literally, and continuously, can you gain
control over your subconscious mind

control over your subconscious mind

If you pray for a thing, but have fear as you pray, that you may not receive it, or
that your prayer will not be acted upon by Infinite Intelligence, your prayer will
have been in vain.

Prayer does, sometimes, result in the realization of that for which one prays for

the time will come, when no one will approach the universal mind in a state of fear
for the very good reason that there will be no such emotion as fear.
Ignorance, superstition, and false teaching will disappeared, and man will
attained his true status as a child of Infinite Intelligence.

A few have already attained this blessing, are you one.

Purpose, Passion and Persistence.

PURPOSE? right at the top because it belongs there. It is the fuel that drives the engine of all other activity. It is the axle around which the wheel revolves. It is your ?Why? – whatever it might be. It doesn’t matter what your purpose is. It just has to be something big, sustained, and motivational powerful. Wanting to make $200 a month extra is NOT a purpose… wanting to give your family an extra benefit with that money is. Wanting to buy a new $10,000 car is NOT a purpose… wanting to give yourself a nicer lifestyle, more comfort, more security is.

Wanting to build a profitable business is NOT a purpose… wanting to use the profits to support a cause you believe passionately in is. In other words, do NOT confuse a GOAL with your PURPOSE. A ?goal? is achievable… and by its nature, loses meaning once you’ve achieved it.

When you have a purpose, and are passionate about it, well… all I can say is that everyone better stay out of your way, because you’re going to sweep them up or blow them off your path as you power relentlessly towards ANYTHING you set your mind to achieve.

But even with the purpose and passion, you could end up achieving nothing unless you are PERSISTENT.

Take a look at the things you are curious about, things you enjoy doing as a hobby, because it is possible to spawn a career from doing something you already love to do.

Success requires commitment. If you aren’t committed to making your endeavors successful, you will continue to suffer from mediocre results.

To succeed, you must have a powerful motivation that forces you to move forward toward your our goals to take action.

SYMPTOMS OF LACK OF PERSISTENT

1-procrastination,2-lack of interest,3-indecision,4-self-satisfaction,5-indifference,6-weakness of desire,7-lack of organized plans,8-habits,9-short cuts,10-fear of criticism,

These are the weaknesses which must be mastered by all who accumulate riches.

1. Failure to recognize and to clearly define exactly what one wants.

2. Procrastination, with or without cause. (Usually backed up with a formidable
array of alibis and excuses).

3. Lack of interest in acquiring specialized knowledge.

4. Indecision, the habit of “passing the buck” on all occasions, instead of facing
issues squarely. (Also backed by alibis).

5. The habit of relying upon alibis instead of creating definite plans for the solution
of problems.

6. Self-satisfaction. There is but little remedy for this affliction, and no hope for
those who suffer from it.

7. Indifference, usually reflected in one’s readiness to compromise on all occasions,
rather than meet opposition and fight it.

8. The habit of blaming others for one’s mistakes, and accepting unfavorable circumstances as being unavoidable

9. WEAKNESS OF DESIRE, due to neglect in the choice of MOTIVES that impel
action.

10. Willingness, even eagerness, to quit at the first sign of defeat. (Based upon one
or more of the 6 basic fears).

11. Lack of ORGANIZED PLANS, placed in writing where they may be analyzed.

12. The habit of neglecting to move on ideas, or to grasp opportunity when it
presents itself.

13. WISHING instead of WILLING.

14. The habit of compromising with POVERTY instead of aiming at riches. General
absence of ambition to be, to do, and to own.

15. Searching for all the short-cuts to riches, trying to GET without GIVING a
fair equivalent, usually reflected in the habit of gambling, endeavoring to drive
“sharp” bargains.

16. FEAR OF CRITICISM, failure to create plans and to put them into action, because
of what other people will think, do, or say. This enemy belongs at the head
of the list, because it generally exists in one’s subconscious mind, where its presence
is not recognized

forex image 1forex image 1

HOW TO DEVELOP PERSISTENT

1. A DEFINITE PURPOSE BACKED BY BURNING DESIRE FOR ITS FULFILLMENT.

2. A DEFINITE PLAN, EXPRESSED IN CONTINUOUS ACTION.

3. A MIND CLOSED TIGHTLY AGAINST ALL NEGATIVE AND DISCOURAGING
INFLUENCES, including negative suggestions of relatives, friends and acquaintances.

4. A FRIENDLY ALLIANCE WITH ONE OR MORE PERSONS WHO WILL ENCOURAGE
ONE TO FOLLOW THROUGH WITH BOTH PLAN AND PURPOSE.

These four steps are essential for success in all walks of life. the principles of this philosophy is to enable one to take these four
steps as a matter of habit. These are the steps by which one may control one’s
economic destiny. They are the steps that lead to freedom and independence of
thought. They are the steps that lead to riches, in small or great quantities. They
lead the way to power, fame, and worldly recognition.

Marketing Yourself – Just Do It – Here’s How

Advertising

I bet a lot of people have never paid for an ad.
It is one of the most basic forms of marketing yet many small business and especially freelancers have never done it. If done properly, it is extremely effective and value for money. So how do you go about placing an ad for your services? Well, this is easiest to explain with an example so I am going to use writers/rewriters as an example.
Who do you want to sell to? Online, writers and re writers are likely to do a lot of their work for websites/website designers/affiliate marketers. This is a target market. So where are they? Where do they hang out online? One place is the site Black Hat World (I have no affiliation with that site). A small ad on that site can cost as little as $20-30/week yet this is, as they accurately call themselves, the home of internet marketing. It is where web designers, SEO people and affiliate marketers go to find info on the best way to promote themselves. There are many other similar places which could be cheaper so look around and see what suits you.

Consistency: When you choose to advertise as a small business, it is important that you are consistent in what you do and specifically in two ways.

  1. Where and when you advertise is important. Being consistent builds trust and familiarity with your audience
  2. Your message: Don’t constantly change what you offer such as huge discounts now and then. Broadcast a message of value rather than “cheapness”. Sure, offering a discount is ok but give it a purpose such as Black Friday/Cyber Monday, holidays etc. The target market for most freelancers are constantly bombarded with “super discount deals” and are usually immune to them. Those who do jump at them will leave as soon as your discount ends.

Measurable: When advertising, you need to be able to track results. If you don’t then how do you know what works? This can be done in a number of ways but a very effective way is to offer an extra for mentioning where they saw you. Eg. On your ad, say “Extra 10% free when you mention http://www.example.site. Asking your clients how they found you it is difficult and often inaccurate but not a bad idea either.

Affordable (Money): There are no guarantees with advertising. You may not get back what you invest so financially, do not throw a big budget at something new and never spend more than you can afford.

Direct: When you buy advertising space etc, it is not the time to be subtle. We are not Coca-Cola, we are simply not at a point where our advertising should be based on “giving people a good feeling” like Coke’s holiday advertising. It needs to catch attention and get your message across, it needs to be appealing to your audience and make an impact in a short space of time. Look at your service – as a general rule – if it is text based then your ad can be text based, if it is graphic/image based then you need to include graphics/images. Nobody is interested in a graphic designer who writes well or a writer who takes beautiful photos.

                                      Relational Marketing

Consistent: Even more important here than in advertising. This method of marketing requires complete consistency. You need to do it regularly and count it as part of your workday/week. There is no point announcing yourself on a forum and then not returning for 2 months. Wherever you choose to engage, you need to commit to visiting a couple of times per week. This applies to all forms of social media including blogs and forums.
If you create a blog or site then you need to commit to updating it regularly. Your content needs to be consistent and regular. Some find it worthwhile to spend one day per month creating 4-6 blog posts and then posting them weekly – others prefer to write them each week.
Note: If you prewrite blogs, always check for current events that may connect to your post in a positive or negative way! Highlight the positive ways, remove the negative ways!

Personal: This method works best if you are you! Think like you, post like you (appropriately!), react like you (professionally). Engage with people, ask good questions, inquire about what others do, think, believe, hope for etc. When asked, answer. Answer questions about things you know about, not about things you don’t but be interested and willing to learn. In this way, when you DO post something, people will listen as they have seen that you only answer things you know about. Nobody likes a know-it-all but everyone hates a thinks-he-knows-it-all.

Indirect: Do not directly offer your services to people on social media, blogs, forums etc. The world is full of, and sick of, people doing this. It doesn’t work and is a huge turn off. People will simply ignore you. Despite what social media companies want shareholders and advertisers want us to believe, SM is still mainly social. If you go around showing off, promoting, pushing etc, people will view you as anti-social and that is not what they are on that platform to see. Instead, you want to be the person that people are interested in enough to find out what you do, by asking or checking your profile. Then, when you have been consistent, people will seek you out when they need your advice/service. You can give some advice away freely but always charge for your services.

Knowledge based: Do you know what you are talking about? This is the subconscious question people will ask every time they see something you write or hear something you say. If you do then they will listen, if you don’t then they will laugh at you. It is that simple. It is vital to know what you are talking about, that you research any “facts” you think you know, that any stats you quote are accurate. This builds credibility and over time it builds trust which leads to reliance on you. When people rely on you, they will pay for your knowledge.
Note: Do not get drawn too deeply into arguments. It never looks good. Make your points, listen to the others’ points, be prepared to learn/accept opinions. You are not out to change the world one post at a time – some people love arguments but for the drama, not to learn.

So that’s it. Two different approaches to marketing that you can begin today to improve your sales. Yes, Advertising should be done in moderation but when you get good results, keep doing it. Relational marketing takes time and effort but the reward is much greater as it becomes easier over time. You are also much more likely to get referrals through relational marketing. What’s stopping you?
Why not commit to spending $50 on advertising this month – choose the target carefully and just go for it!
How about you decide to allocate just 1 hour per week to Relational Marketing? You can afford that I’m sure – split it into 3-4 slots of 15-20 minutes over a week and you will see results but don’t forget to come back here too or I’ll miss you!

Tips and tricks to write a great subject line

Write multiple subject lines. You should write 10 subject lines for every email, just as you
should write 10 titles for every blog post. Then choose the best
Keep it under 50 characters. It’s general best practice to keeps subject lines to fewer than 50 characters.
Subject lines with less than 50 characters have higher open rates and click-through-rates than those with 50+. Go
over 50 characters and you risk being cut of-.
Alliteration. An ample amount of alliteration attracts! Give it a try for some catchy email subject lines.
More caps ≠ More opens. Covering your subject line in caps WILL NOT HELP YOU. Caps are powerful, but not to be
trifled with. Use them sparingly and responsibly, like grenades.

Know your audience. Your best bet for creating good email subject lines will be understanding your audience
intimately and catering to them. This is a major rule for pretty much all aspects of online marketing, and while
it can be a bit tougher in a limited character field like a subject line, matching your audience’s interests and
mannerisms is essential if you really want solid open rates.
What’s your tone? Most good email subject lines rely on a conversationalist tone to attract readers. Sites like
BuzzFeed and Upworthy, known for their super-successful clickbait headlines, take advantage of a casual,
conversational tone.
Call to action. It’s never a bad idea to try a Call to Action in your email subject line. While many opt-out due
to limited character space, call to actions may improve open rates.

Using You/Your. While name-calling is on the out, it’s still considered a best practice to use “you” and “your”
wording to speak directly and comfortably with readers.
Put Yourself in the “From” field. Keep your “from” section professional and consistent for business subject lines.
This isn’t this place to be a goof ball – with so much spam floods, users want to see that you are a legitimate
and trusted source. Most business emails put their brand name in the “from” field, or go with something along the lines of “john larry from invitacorp,

Always A/B test subject lines. I must sound like a broken record – I know, I know, A/B testing blaa blaa, so
important, blaa blaa. Well it is! You should A/B test everything you can get your keyboardy fingers on, email  subject line included

Pay attention to the preview. The email preview that follows the subject line is a valuable piece of property, and
yet so many businesses ignore it
See something you like? Steal it! All the world’s greatest artists are thieves – they “borrow” from others,
building on existing works to create their own. Don’t be afraid to break bad.

If you see great subject lines that
you think will work for your business, nab them! Tweak them a bit and try them on for size. Remember, imitation is flattery
so flatter the hell out of the best email subject lines.the aim is to get your readers or subscribers to open your e mails

Check this out, why do our e mail open rate sucks?

Is the email view able? If your email doesn’t read well on a user’s device, they won’t bother trying to decipher it
Are you being a pest? If you’ve been emailing folks every day, they may be fed up with you and won’t be as likely
to open your emails if you’ve been making yourself an annoyance.
When did you send it? Many people don’t check their emails

as often on the weekend, try week days
Quality of your email list. Is this a solid, targeted email list? If your list isn’t high-quality, it may reflect in your open rate.
Hopefully i have given you the information you need to make email subject line eye candy. These tips should help with your open rate

Simple list building strategies

Simple List Building Strategies–how a new be made $7,365,80 in 30 days with this strategies.

Introduction

You’ve probably heard it many times:

The money is in the list
While that statement doesn’t tell the whole story (you’ll find out why shortly) it really is true. There are very few assets in an internet business that are as valuable as your list.

Unfortunately, far too many internet marketers ignore this particular component of their business. They may not know what they should write in their emails, some people are “afraid” of what people might think of them while others would prefer to do stuff that requires zero personal interaction.

While you can get away with ignoring list building, doing so means you’re leaving a lot of money and other opportunities on the table. In this report we’re going to look first of all at why you should be building a list, and then we’re going to look at five steps to go from zero to a decent sized list in less time than you might think.

                        Let’s get started

Why Should You Build A List?

There’s one big advantage to building a list of your own – control over your business.

So many of the things we do as internet marketers require us to rely on some other person or company.

To get traffic to our sites, we rely on Google and other search engines – both for natural and paid search.

For monetization, we’re often at the mercy of affiliate networks and ad networks like Google Adsense.

If one of those companies changes their terms, or decides that they just don’t like the way we are conducting business for some reason, they can shut down our traffic, revenue or both virtually overnight.

When you have a list of your own, and have built a good relationship with them, you take back control.

Notice that I said “built a good relationship with them” – this is the piece that’s missing from the old “The money’s in the list” statement. In actual fact, the money’s in your relationship with the list.

If you want traffic to a new site or a new article on one of your existing sites, you can send an email with a link and get clicks almost instantly. Even when you’re in Google’s good books, it’s pretty tough to get instant traffic to a brand new page or site.

Or if you want to generate some revenue, you can email your list with a link to one of your own products, an affiliate offer or even an article on your site that’s monetized with Adsense or some other type of ads.

You’re the one controlling things, not all those other companies.

Plus, when you build a good relationship with the people on your list, you can wind up getting other benefits as well:

Potential JV partners
Networking opportunities

Even new friendships

Hopefully you’re beginning to see the value in building a list (assuming you weren’t already convinced before) so let’s move on to the action plan for doing just that.

Setting Up Your Lead Capture System

Your lead capture system is one of the most important components of this process. If your lead capture isn’t working well, it’s not going to matter how good your autoresponder series is or how effective you are at writing promotional emails – nobody is ever going to see them. You need to get them onto your list first.

While putting a simple “Sign up for my free newsletter” box in the side column of your website will generate some subscribers, chances are it’s not going to get a lot.

Instead, you need to make getting the opt-in your top priority.

One of the most effective ways to do this is to use what’s called a “namesqueeze” or “squeeze” page.

This is a page that does nothing but “sell” the opt-in to your visitors. It’s like a mini sales-letter whose job is to convince the visitor to enter their information and click the “subscribe” button instead of clicking an order button.

As a result, it needs most of the same components as a sales letter:

An effective headline
Copy that will give the reader a reason why they should subscribe

A strong call-to-action

You’ll want to use all the same copywriting techniques that you would use when selling something. Even though no money changes hands, it’s not truly a “free” offer – the subscriber is paying you by giving you the ability to contact them again in the future. It’s important that you make a good case for why they should do so on your squeeze page.

To get people to sign up for your email list, you’ll want to offer them some type of incentive. This could be as simple as a free subscription to your email newsletter, but this strategy isn’t nearly as effective as it once was. Free email newsletters are a dime a dozen, so you’ll have much better results if you offer something over and above this.

There are lots of things you can offer:

Free report or ebook
Webinar or audio recordings

Software or other tools

Free access to a membership site

etc.

Just make sure you deliver some serious value with this freebie. You want your subscribers to think “Man, if I’m getting this much value for free, imagine what I’ll get if I actually buy something from this person!”

The final component of your lead capture system is an email service, such as Aweber or Getresponse. Actually, this is probably the first step since you need to have a service to collect subscribers in order to set up a squeeze page, but beyond the actual subscription process you also want to have a follow-up autoresponder series in place.

By automating this process, your new subscribers will be sure to get several emails from you right away after subscribing, which is when they’re going to be most receptive to your emails (and most impressionable about whether or not you’re providing value).

Your autoresponder should be written so it is “evergreen.” This means that the content of your messages won’t appear dated or inappropriate at certain times of the year.

eg. You’d want to avoid referencing a particular holiday or date since that will seem out of place to someone who subscribes any other time of the year.

By making the content evergreen, you won’t have to worry about going back and changing it often. The autoresponder service will handle all the initial contact with new subscribers so you don’t have to.

Generating Traffic

Traffic generation is a huge topic of its own, so there’s just no way that we can get into any great detail in this report. But let’s look at a few effective ways to get traffic to your squeeze page, and hopefully from there onto your email list.

One of the most popular methods is content syndication. This includes things like article marketing, guest blogging, “web 2.0” sites like Squidoo and Hubpages, and other such places that you can share your own content.

Most of these types of sites let you include links within your content, or in a resource box at the end, that points back to your own website. This is essentially
the “payment” that you receive for providing these other sites with content they can use.

The key here is to link back to your squeeze page – not the home page of your site (unless they’re one and the same, of course). By linking back to your squeeze page, and making an offer in your resource box, you’ll get a lot higher conversion rate of visitors to subscribers.

Point the link to your squeeze page, where you’ll be able to really convince the visitor to sign up. But because they already know they can get a free report (or whatever incentive you’re offering) they’re going to be somewhat “pre-sold” before they even get there.

This same technique can be used for other forms of traffic generation as well, such as video marketing or audio syndication. The difference is how you present the offer for the free incentive.

You can’t include a clickable link in a video or an audio recording so you’ll need to present them accordingly, depending on the medium. Just be sure you make a clear call-to-action to convince the listener/watcher to visit your site and sign up to get their freebie.

Forums are another great way to generate traffic to your squeeze page. If you’re active in any market-related forums, you can usually include a link to your own site in your signature. Just make sure that link is pointing at your squeeze page, not the home page of your site.

Building A List Through Joint Ventures

Joint ventures are another effective way to build an email list. They can take many forms, but the basic idea is that you are partnering up with another marketer in your niche and helping one another grow your email lists.

When the term JV is mentioned, most internet marketers think of ad swaps. You send an ad to your list for your JV and they do the same for you. Some of your

subscribers will join their list and some of theirs will join yours, so you both benefit.

Ad swaps can definitely work well, but one of the biggest drawbacks is that you have to already have a list to make them work. If you have no list, it’s going to be pretty tough to do a swap with another marketer.

If this is the case though, there are other ways you can approach a joint venture deal. Maybe you do all the work to create a new product, which your JV partner can then promote to their list. All the buyers get added to your email list after purchasing, so you’re building a list of your own in exchange for the work you did.

Or maybe you create some sort of freebie that your JV partner can offer to their list exclusively. This could be a report or ebook, an audio interview or a webinar with your partner, for example.

There are lots of ways to arrange JV deals even if you don’t yet have a list of your own. Just be creative and think about what you can offer in place of additional subscribers to your partner’s list.

Another thing to consider about joint venture deals is that you don’t have to go after the “big guns” in your market right off the bat. In fact, you’re probably better not to. Look for smaller marketers who have built somewhat of a following but aren’t necessarily well known yet.

These people will usually be more open to smaller JV deals, and you can leverage the results you get with them to go after bigger and bigger fish in the market. Eventually you’ll have enough resources to land JV deals with the best-known marketers in your niche if you want to.

Building A List Through Giveaway Events

Giveaway events are a popular way to build email lists, particularly for people who are starting from scratch or have relatively few subscribers. These events are made up of a bunch of marketers working in the same niche, each giving away some type of freebie in exchange for subscribing to their list.

The idea behind these events is that all the marketers involved will promote the event to their own lists, and those people will subscribe to various other marketers’ lists to get the freebies being offered.

If everything goes according to plan, everybody involved will gain subscribers on their own list.

These events don’t always work out quite like they sound, however.

For one thing, many participants don’t email their lists, or might only email a small portion of them, so you don’t get as much exposure as you think.

And because there are so many marketers involved in most of these events, even if people do sign up for a bunch of lists, they can quickly get overwhelmed with all the email they start receiving.

Many marketers in these events take the “churn & burn” approach to email marketing.

In other words, they hammer people with emails until they either buy or unsubscribe. When a bunch of marketers take this same approach, it doesn’t take long for the subscribers to lose interest and start ignoring the noise.

There are a couple of things you can do to help improve your odds with these giveaway events.

First, look for events that have some clear rules for how the participants have to promote them. If they require all participants to email their lists, or they get removed from the event, it will help ensure everyone promotes it.

It’s also a good idea to choose events that review the products being given away. Look for events that require relatively new products and don’t allow duplicate products from multiple marketers. This will help ensure a higher quality of offer, which means visitors will be more likely to subscribe.

Finally (and most importantly) don’t take the same churn & burn attitude that many other participants will.

Treat the people who subscribe to your list with respect, and provide them with some serious value in those all-important first few emails you send via autoresponder. If they’re getting a bunch of crap from most of the lists they subscribed to, and you’re one of the only ones giving them real value, they’re going to be a lot more likely to stay subscribed to your list.

Using Viral Marketing In Your List building.

Viral marketing is one of the most effective ways to build your list, but it’s also one of the hardest to implement. The way viral marketing works is that something you create gets shared by other people, then those people share and so on – creating a self-sustaining source of traffic.

You’ve probably experienced it with things like funny videos or images. Someone sends you something that’s funny or interesting, and you share it with other people on Twitter, Facebook or however you choose. A certain number of those people share it with their contacts, and on it goes.

The problem with viral marketing is that it’s not always easy to come up with something “sharable” like that. You might think something you create is the funniest, most clever thing ever, only to wonder why nobody else agrees.
There are some things you can do to help kickstart a viral campaign, however.

The first thing is to create something that has a higher chance of going viral in the first place. While useful content is okay, if you can create something that is somewhat controversial or even mildly offensive, it’s going to have a much better chance of getting some traction.

People are a lot more likely to share things that they either agree or disagree with strongly. If you can create content that really polarizes your audience, it’s a much better starting point.

eg. Take all the “XYZ is Dead” reports that you see in the internet marketing niche. Whether or not the service or technique is actually dead, these types of reports get people all worked up – which makes them share it with other people they know in the market.

Once you have your content created, the next step to helping it go viral is to give the marketing/sharing process a bit of a kickstart. If you already have an email list, send them an email with a link to it, asking them to like it, share it, or whatever needs to be done to help it spread.

You can do the same with any online communities you’re a part of:

Forums
Blogs

Membership sites

etc.

Share the content with those people and ask them to help you kickstart it by sharing it with their circle of friends.

Getting the ball rolling is the hardest part of viral marketing. Once the exposure reaches a “tipping point” you won’t need to push it any longer – it’s going to keep growing under its own momentum. But without that initial push, it’s a lot harder to get that momentum started.

Conclusion

Hopefully this report has given you some insight into list building, both why you should be doing it and how to get started.

And remember, the most important part of the process is to just get started. Don’t worry if your first effort isn’t a home run. Chances are it won’t be. But you’ll learn a lot more from actually taking action on these strategies than you ever will by simply reading about them.

And something else you’ll probably find is that once you start building your list, and getting responses to your emails, you’ll quickly get a feel for what people are really looking for.

No matter how thoroughly you plan ahead of time, you’ll probably find that your subscribers get as much or more value out of stuff that you didn’t even think about when writing the email as they do from what you intended them to.

And this kind of feedback is invaluable for creating a successful customer-focused business. If you listen to, and respond to your subscribers, it becomes easier and easier to create products, write articles or blog posts, put together helpful videos or any other type of content creation.

It’s just a matter of getting started and taking that first step.
